Each trace may bring together three distinct layers. The original legend is fiction created for atmosphere. Local legends are accounts attributed to tradition or identified sources. Real facts and practical information are claims that must be verified separately.

Original legends, narrators, and characters are not presented as historical testimony or documented local tradition unless an element is explicitly identified and supported by sources. We label fiction before the text and visually separate it from practical information.

We prefer official site-operator sources, academic publications, public institutions, historical works, and identifiable folklore collections. Secondary travel sources are used cautiously. Uncertain variants are labelled as reported, traditional, local, or requiring confirmation rather than as facts.

Access, opening times, fees, trail conditions, and rules can change. Before publication, these details must be checked against a current source and carry a last-verified date. Readers are directed to confirm conditions with site operators and local services before travelling.

We publish editorial content in Romanian and English only when both required versions are complete. English copy follows British English conventions. Proper names and local place names may remain in Romanian, Hungarian, or the relevant official form.

If you identify an error, send the page, the disputed statement, and a source where possible. We will assess the report and correct the information when sufficient evidence is available. Significant corrections may be noted through an updated verification date or editorial note.
